• Payment Information: Subscription and billing data processed through Paddle. Scribey does not store your payment credentials (credit card numbers, bank account details, etc.) on our servers

• Audio files and transcription outputs are stored on encrypted cloud storage (Cloudflare R2)
• File access is controlled through time-limited signed URLs, ensuring only authorized users can access their data
• Audio files and transcription outputs are automatically deleted 7 days after transcription is completed
• All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Scribey:

• AI Transcription Engine: Third-party AI service providers for speech-to-text processing
• Cloudflare R2: Cloud storage for audio files and transcription outputs
• Paddle: Payment processing for subscriptions and billing
• Google OAuth: Authentication and sign-in

These third-party services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their privacy practices. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data according to the following schedule:

• Audio Files & Transcriptions: Automatically deleted 7 days after transcription is completed
• Account Data: Retained until you delete your account
• Payment Records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA):

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data
